There needs to be a referee or official scorekeeper for games.

Was there a referee at this game? I was not sure.

Are there official referees ?

Is there a rulebook for SL Soccerplay ?

The coach or someone on the sidelines should use group chat to
inform us of the official score.

There should be a big scoreboard at the field.

Also, people should not float above the field.
They may interfere with kicks.
One guy was so low we had to move around him.
They should be at the side of the field.



Gameplay.

Our opponant took a few long shots that went past several of us.
Fortunately most of them missed.

Defender Beavis scored one from across center field and
I almost scored two. I was couple of steps short::(

We need to practice blocking long low shots.
( This would also be good for practicing catching passes. )

I propose a practice session in which an attacker takes a low shot from the midfield line
and defenders spaced maybe 10, 20, 30 and 40 meters from the goal try to block
the shot. ( I'm assuming the center of the field at 50 meters. )


They also made some quick passes that we were helpless against ,
but they flubbed the shots.
I think the passes were more good luck than intentional but they showed
the potential of good passing skills.

During our attacks they had maybe thee players on our side of the field.
I think this hurt their defense. I would have only stationed one player there
and maybe one near centerfield.


There were a few instances when the attacker got past our defenders and I
thought were sure to score. In the middle of the action I couldn't quite see
what happened but I think there was a hesitation on the part of the attackers
that allowed a wave of defenders to swarm him.

A good offensive player should not need to take any time to aim.

I noticed that they made a few short passes when one of our players was near.
Not a good idea.
This should never be done on our side of the field.

I can not see clearly across the field to make any comments on our offense
or their defense.

I thought we played a good game and didn't see any big mistakes except
for the guy ( forgot his name ) who was away or perhaps IMing someone
when the game started.

I think he stole the ball too! :P
